All About Me

This week our topic was All About Me! We talked about how we are alike and how we are different. We learned that we don't all have the same eye color,  hair color, or skin color, but we are more alike than different. We talked about our names and read "Chrysanthemum"... we learned that her name has 13 letters! Our longest name in our school is 9 letters and our shortest name is 3 letters. We read "I Like Myself" and talked about things we love about ourselves. For our table time activities we stamped with letters, explored geoboards and rubber bands, made silly face art, did "magic" paint with watercolor... we wrote their names with white crayon and it appeared when they covered their paper with watercolor. My favorite project of the week was our Picasso inspired art. We showed them a couple pieces of Picasso's art and gave them a piece of white construction paper, a picture of them, scissors, glue stick, paint dobbers, paint sticks, and markers. Thank you to the families that brought in the All About Me bags! The kiddos loved sharing what they brought.

T-shirt order forms and money are due by the 9th. PLA will be purchasing a shirt for all of our enrolled kiddos and staff. Order forms are only for extra shirts you may want.
