Snow and Ice ❄️🧊

Image
We explored snow and ice this week complete with a snow day! We read some science nonfiction books about snow and ice, but also some fun books like "Snowman at Night"  and " Sneezy Snowman"   For table time we played in shaving cream "snow"... made icicles with glue and iridescent snowflakes... painted and melted ice spheres... and made our own snowman at night. The art/science activity of melting and painting the sphere was a favorite activity of the whole year! I had 2 kiddos that stayed at the table for 45 minutes! Activities like this are proof that the best projects don't come home in a backpack! They used watercolor paint, salt, and then water (hot and cold) to see what would happen to their ice.  Our VIP shared her poster, some of her favorite things, and her adventures with Norman!
